March Favorites + Updates

You probably looked at the title of this post and thought, “Whaaaaaat? March favorites PLUS updates on one of my favorite bloggers?” Even if that’s not exactly what you thought, you’re probably still wondering what’s going on. Because of issues I’ve been having lately with my mental health, this blog has become somewhat of a chore. It used to be something I enjoyed a lot and something that helped me to relax. But now it’s becoming quite a stressor during a time when I should be doing things that help me to be less stressed.

So, with that being said, I’ll be taking a small break from this blog, at least until I get to a point where I can put out content that doesn’t stress me out while I’m creating it, and content that fulfills me.

I may lose followers as a result but my mental health is the most important thing to me right now, and ensuring that I’m putting the least amount of stress on myself as I possibly can is my number one priority at the moment.

Before I disappear from the world of WordPress for however long, I wanted to leave you all with a type of post I actually enjoy making. So, as a sort of going away present, here are my favorite things from the month of March!

Favorite Makeup Product:
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in the shade Fenty Glow

s1925965-main-zoom.jpgThis lipgloss is amazing! I love that Rihanna made it with people of all skin colors in mind. The shade is one that I think is universally flattering and will look good on the palest of the pale to the darkest of the dark. If you look at some of Fenty’s promotional pictures for it, you’ll probably agree! The formula isn’t sticky at all and it glides on super easily so if you’re looking for a good lip gloss, I recommend this one!

Favorite Album:
The Legally Blonde soundtrack
268x0wI’m so late on the majority of the musicals I’ve fallen in love with and Legally Blonde is no exception. That doesn’t mean I love it any less! I seriously think that if you enjoyed the OG Legally Blonde with the phenomenal Reese Witherspoon, you would get a kick out of this show! It has some of the most iconic lines while also adding some new and wonderful twists, as well. So give it a listen and maybe even try and find the bootleg on Youtube!

Favorite Movie:
Black Panther
black-panther-image.jpgIf you’re surprised by this movie being my favorite of the month, then you probably didn’t see it. Black Panther had everything you could want in a superhero movie (plus a vine reference that had me loving Shuri even more than I already did). The female characters were badass and complex and just so, so cool. The whole movie was incredible and if you’re one of the few people who hasn’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it!

Favorite Television Show:
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10
Drag-race-10Is anyone ever really surprised when I put anything Drag Race-related in my favorites? If you are, you must not know me that well. But yes, my favorite reality TV show started its tenth season right before the end of the month, right after the ending of All Stars 3 which was a lovely gift to Drag Race fans who usually have to wait a ridiculous amount of time between seasons. The first episode alone assured all of us that this season would be chock full of drama and pettiness and hello, isn’t that why we watch reality TV? I’m incredibly excited to see how this season turns out!

Favorite Skincare:
Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2

I only bought this toner a few days ago but so far, I’m loving it! The smell is a little strong but not noticeable unless you have your nose right on the bottle. Adding this to my skincare routine was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made in a while. It works wonders on my skin and I can’t wait to see what the results are after using it for longer than just a few days!

And that’s all for my March favorites! I know it wasn’t a super long list but these really were my absolute favorite things for this month! I hope you look into some of these things and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
